Anyone here using Duolingo or any other language learning tool? What are you learning and why?
I'm at the 5th unit of the recently revised Duolingo Japanese course, I crammed all of the kana in my head as quickly as possible before doing any of the actual lessons before the course switched over and it messed up my progress a little lmao. I want to be nihongo jouzu so I can browse Yahoo Auctions Japan and find all the $1 Wiis in junk bins at Japanese game stores
I also have the Russian course but I haven't been nearly as active on that lately
Wasn't sure if off topic or general was the right place for this lol.

General is fine for this, offtopic is more for just shitposting lol. I'll move it to general.
I did the Japanese Duolingo course a few times back in 2018 when it was fairly new. Unfortunately it was fairly short back then so I ended up switching to other ways of learning. I've heard it's expanded a lot since then though.

That is awesome. It definitely has improved a lot more recently and there is a lot of content (but I will admit I am basically at the beginning of the course, having fun though!). Of course I'm always looking for as many resources as possible, I need to keep that learning streak going tf
