post midi music ig
Re: post midi music ig
Its Wave version is unbearably harsh to hear.

It’s not a proper MIDI chat without this.

Re: post midi music ig
Wow what a blast from the past hearing Onestop.mid again. I used to love that song as a kid, I was absolutely fascinated by the genre switches and how it managed to pull them off.
I think my PC had a Yamaha XGlite on it back then which made MIDIs sound marginally better than the average PC. At least, I remember being disappointed with how MIDIs sounded on other peoples' computers, but that could also just be because I was so used to how they sounded on mine.
I never really looked into why it was written that way before, but it looks like MIDIs were preinstalled primarily so users/technical support could test/troubleshoot MIDI hardware even if the system had no internet connection, and Onestop was particularly useful because it exercised more instruments. Interesting stuff!

Though I do have to wonder how often Microsoft got calls from disgruntled computer users who couldn't play midi files on their computer even in those days...

I mean there is Budget-Builds in the UK who spent like almost an hour in a tech support call to Samsung themselves to setup an over-10-year-old device whose drivers they no longer offer (and yes this "identity" is still alive...somewhat.)kana85hz2c wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 1:47 pm I never thought about why it was there, but that is an interesting read lol.

Re: post midi music ig
lol I'm genuinely impressed Samsung actually played ball.
Speaking of midi music, the BGM in that video is the base MIDI music from OpenTTD
