Original Xbox Capacitors are awful

Nothing new there. it’s probably only gonna get worse as time goes on.

I wish Microsoft did full backwards compatibility for the OG Xbox on the Xbox One and Series instead of the puny amount of games they did make compatible.

Capacitors, such an evil necessity. So many electronics plagued by them - especially Apple hardware of a certain vintage.

Needing to replace the capacitors in my Xbox has led me to learning a lot of soldering and repair skills. Now I mod Xboxes for fun (and sometimes profit!).

Also, for what it's worth, if your console has exceptionally bad video quality, you might find replacing the capacitors on the power supply will drastically improve it. Certainly did for me.
