After re-watching the video on finding the Japanese Lego Island Version, at some point there was a mention of the Korean Version, and the fact that source code was left on the CD for its release.
Wouldn't this help massively with finding out the inner-workings of the game, or is this to be avoided for the sake of legality?
Could the Korean version help with Reverse Engineering immensely?
Re: Could the Korean version help with Reverse Engineering immensely?
The source code on the Korean version is technically not source code of the game, it's source code of the SI files, which would have been fed into their proprietary tool called Weaver. While it's very interesting and provides some insight into how the SI files were made, it's not really relevant to the game code, and without a copy of Weaver, it can't really be used for anything.
