Working on a new app

Post by bubblineyuri »

Hi everyone,
(This is my first post btw, please be nice to me)

me and my siblings are working on a new app called "shhout" which is pretty much what it says. It's a normie-friendly voice note app so people can communicate easily and efficiently, because let's face it, smartphone keyboards didn't really evolve, but just dropping a quick voice note into people's DMs is a lot faster than typing it out for the most people. Is anyone interested in joining me or does anyone have ideas to improve the concept? We plan to launch beta TestFlights by the end of this year with Android beta invites if the iOS port is fully working, but as we all know if you write software you can't make promises. Yes, the source model is proprietary, but that's because we don't want to have thousands of clients scattering around the web and create another Telegram where a government could create a client to directly spy on their users (though Telegram is bad for a number of reasons). If you remember Cord (the app that Spotify bought weeks after its release and already had a million users) then shhout is pretty much this, but in a modern working state, it's not really a decomp project either, because porting a 10 year old codebase on modern hardware isn't a good idea and would take us longer than we want to. Here's a reference video on what we want to build, but in modern

Really sad that the app is gone, but hey we're here to bring it back.
