In atleast firefox 102.6 esr on archlinux. when reading a post in offtopic the quick reply box is just not there. it does work fine in all other catagories.

never mind it seems to be fine now. it must of been a weird glitch.

Ahh sorry I didn't mention, yes it was turned off the some of the newer forums (seems it's turned off by default), but I've re-enabled it everywhere.

What I wish is that you could use Ctrl and Enter to submit the quick reply form like you can in the full editor

That's probably a phpBB issue, the quick reply is just part of the forum, not mine.

I almost wonder if one could work around it by modifying the theme. I know the quick links menu is implemented by the theme you use, and it's possible to actually remove or completely repurpose the dropdown.
