Best cloud based storage for old Web browsers

Hi I was thinking if there was a good cloud based file sharing so I could download stuff from it on an old Web browser such as K-Meleon for Windows 98 or RetroZilla, MediaFire works but I believe that is full of ads and not everybody uses an Adblocker, MEGA does not work, Gdrive does not work so I ran out of options, and everything else pretty much sucks

Are you downloading files you saved or something else? Is your machine virtual or physical?

I am building a small website where I upload files so everybody can access it but I need cloud based file storage to do so

Why not building an FTP server alongside the website?

I will just use Archive.org because my files are fairly small

If you're in for a learning experience, you could likely just spin up a regular old Linux VPS with an Apache or nginx server. Set up a vhost that just acts as a directory listing for some folder on the server. Since you're targeting old web browsers and just letting people download files, you could get away with not setting up SSL which would increase compatibility.

FTP would work too, since I think most web browsers can browse FTP as well - can't they?

I wouldn't rely on major cloud storage services, just simply because of SSL. If you've ever tried browsing the modern Internet on a Windows XP system with IE 6, you'd know exactly why. You're lucky if you can even get to a page that lets you download a more up-to-date browser without resoirting to using a more modern computer.

Not for modern ones nowadays but at least HTTP proxy for FTP is a thing...

I would say use a small vps if you need it to be publicly available.
But I normally just a local web server running on a pi or my homelab. that has a website running with the index of my downloads.
I also run a ftp server for it.
It just depends on how much effort you want to put in.
Your only real option is to set it up yourself.
