I have a few macs, but that MacBook specifically I got I think in late july. Found it at a one off thrift store "for parts". Thought it would be a simple "put some ram and an SSD in it and call it a day" kinda deal. Turns out the logic board was completely dead, so I bought another broken MacBook on the electronic bay and Frankensteined them together. Been a great laptop for school.

Damn if only I could just buy Macs for parts and make my own functional one
