I got a lot of WIN XP laptops and some have issues

So i've got almost 10 laptops that run windows xp last year. I didnt have time to properly take a look at them because of school. But now that I do, well I did.

Half of the laptops launch properly, some run fine, some have software issues but that's not important.

What is important that the other half is hardware wise faulty in some, some laptops launch, but their monitors don't work. They dont display anything, nor anything happens. The fans just spin. One has a strange issue where it launches for a second and it turns off itself. Another one just doesn't work at all.

Does anyone have tips on where to look on fixing them? Atleast i want to fix those where their monitors don't work at all.

if the one that hard shuts off has a CMOS battery on the motherboard, take it out, it might need a CMOS reset.
for the ones with busted displays, try hooking them up to an external monitor and seeing if they fire up.

edit:maybe upload a video clip of what the ones that are broken do, just so we can examine them for ourselves
