PS3 Blu ray movie issue.

This is a lot weirder than the title suggests, when I insert a dvd, no issues, when I insert a game disc still no issues.
But when inserting ANY blu ray movie (I've tried like 10) the drive starts clicking and and stuff, and it does not recognise the disc on the XMB, I could not find anything online.

I have tried resetting the drive, cleaning the lens, reinstalling the firmware and i have run out of ideas

you could try simply replacing the drive? they are about 50 bucks from a quick Google search. I don't say this often, but sometimes things just cant be fixed.
