Re: Software preservation - your opinions
I would say software and hardware is a form of art. And needs to be preserved. This is our generations history and we need to be able to keep games and applications usable overtime. I think it should be required for companys when they shutdown the servers for games that are always online, the server...

I also run a approach that is close to yours. I main Linux and run 2 gpus. Wow yeah very similar setup. I assume the GT 710 is only supported up to High Sierra? Or is that one of the rare NVIDIA cards with native support rather than requiring the NVIDIA Web Driver? The gt710 was supported up to Big...

Re: Amazon linsks do not show when using adblock.
I guess they sneakily put some Amazon affiliate stuff in their extension and don't have a way to turn it off. That is so scummy, although if I was the dev of the plugin I probably would of been tempted to do the same... I have no morals... lol Thanks for turning it off I was getting really confused...

That being said, I'm not a huge fan of how Sublime isn't FOSS. I know that FOSS is a lot harder to monetize (and I do believe developers should get paid for their work), For some things that are open source that are used more my "normies" making just the binary paid can make sense and if ...

I main Linux and then pass a cheap secondary GPU through to virtual machines so I can run Windows and macOS at near-native performance side-by-side without having to dualboot or have multiple separate computers at my desk. If you saw any Windows or macOS footage in my videos this year, it was proba...

Amazon linsks do not show when using adblock.
When using ublock origin, When someone sends an amazon link it normally looks like this when not using an ad block. Screenshot_2022-12-18_22-36-10.png But whenever you use adlbock. Nothing shows up not even the link. Id asume this is because the amazon element looks like an ad so its being blocked. ...

Re: Creating a cheap low powered nas backup server.
Seems like you've got a good plan. It's a shame the NUC only seems to have one SATA, otherwise I'd encourage getting at least two disks and setting up some kind of RAID so you can sustain a drive failure without losing any data, but it seems that isn't feasible here (I guess you could use USB, but ...

That just seems to show the schools gross incompetency, The folders should be only accessible to the user that its supposed to be for.
And it should be unsearchable.

Creating a cheap low powered nas backup server.
So I got a intel nuc d54250wyk for free. I want to use this as a backup server to run some things. and as a router. This machine is the small one without the cady for a 2.5in ssd. It all ready has a msata ssd. that is 240gb. But I want to add a new maybe 4tb laptop hard drive from an external hard d...
