Re: Honkai: Star Rail, unscheduled

Very interesting. I try to keep myself away from gacha as I can get pretty impulsive (don't ask how much I spent on Overwatch skins) but it does look like a pretty interesting game. The visuals are pretty nice. This got me curious about miHoYo, reading the story of their founding and explosion into ...

Re: Content Creator Commitment

With the caveat that I'm not in this space and quite frankly I have no interest in getting into it, I would say the following: No worries, still absolutely appreciated! This is a really good perspective even though it might be the painful truth... I'll have to consider what else I really want to do...

Content Creator Commitment

I can think of at least one person here that most likely has experience with what I'm talking about here but happy to hear thoughts from anybody who's into making stuff online :) I make a few YouTube videos every now and then (the channel itself is irrelevant to this discussion, I don't mean to self...

This is what you see in that small span of time during death before you lose consciousness but after your heart has stopped beating.

Re: What was the very first console you have modded?

Back early in the Wii homebrew scene (2009 maybe?) a friend of my older sister's came over and installed a bunch of emulators and stuff on our console. I wasn't very old so I didn't understand the technical side of it, but man playing Kirby's Nightmare in Dreamland on the TV absolutely blew my mind....

Re: Duolingo/Languages Thread

General is fine for this, offtopic is more for just shitposting lol. I'll move it to general. Haha good to know, I freaked out a little when it got moved and thought I did something wrong!! I did the Japanese Duolingo course a few times back in 2018 when it was fairly new. Unfortunately it was fair...

Duolingo/Languages Thread

Anyone here using Duolingo or any other language learning tool? What are you learning and why? I'm at the 5th unit of the recently revised Duolingo Japanese course, I crammed all of the kana in my head as quickly as possible before doing any of the actual lessons before the course switched over and ...

Re: What OS are you maining?

I wish I could say something cooler than Fedora 37 but Fedora 37 lmao. Runs well. I also use Windows 10 on a secondary machine and remote into it over Parsec if I need access to a quick Windows machine, works better than VM for my purposes. Knowing you as a somewhat close-friend, I fully expected y...

Re: What is the best Windows version ever?

I have always had a massive bias toward Vista - I would argue that it was just as important of a step in introducing a modern Windows 'framework' (WDDM, DWM, etc.) as Windows 2000/XP in terms of moving away from DOS. It still looks incredibly classy too, I miss it lmao

Just registered, thanks for opening the board. This is really nostalgic. It's refreshing to go somewhere other than Discord like you mentioned :)
