Can this PC run Windows XP?
So I decided to get my old PC from 2017 out of storage and the thing is a total nugget in this day and age but can it run Windows XP? I want to convert it to a Windows XP PC for older games. asking cos i’m not nerdy enough about PC hardware to know. It currently has these specs AMD FX4300 (released ...

Re: What OS are you maining?
i used to main windows but i recently made plans to move to linux. still debating whether to use ubuntu, arch, or wait until valve releases steamos 3 as a full desktop os (i’d rather use the official thing over the unofficial ones)

I’ve wasted about 400 hours of my life playing Beat Saber since 2018. I’ve not been enjoying the game as of late so I think it’s about time I retire from it.

Re: Is it just me or is populair music nowadays a bit boring?
I genuinely don’t like the music of today. I much prefer music from the 70’s up to around the early 2010’s heck there’s even some songs from the 50’s that I like. That effectively shows my music taste.

Re: Simpsons Hit and Run source and assets leaked
I remember back when this leaked, I thought “oh wow imagine all the cool stuff we’re gonna get from this” yet surprisingly very little if not anything at all was done with this.

Re: .ani Viewing Tool
Ah so it’s the same scenario of how Home used MDL files for it’s models, but it was it’s own MDL file that wasn’t close to the same format from Source engine games. The only difference is that Home’s MDL files can be exported to FBX and OBJ now but Home’s ani files still remain uncracked to this day...

Re: Full Map Extraction
I remember exploring the Lego Island map in VR as someone had ported the island to VRChat. I have no idea if this is a full port or a partial remake, once I find the world again i’ll send the link to it here.

Re: .ani Viewing Tool
Whilst I know this post is aimed at Lego Island but PlayStation Home also uses .ani files for some of its animations. Would this work with that too? (I mean considering Lego Island came out in 1997 and PlayStation Home came out in 2008 I doubt they’re even remotely similar but still good to ask)

Re: Planning on building a Windows XP retro PC or something similar maybe?
My Windows XP machine is literally a MacBook Pro from 2010. Runs XP really well and to add on to this I dualbooted Vista with it.

It’s gone.
This is the European 3DS eShop after shut down. It may look intact but you can’t buy anything, all you get is an error that says “Software currently unavailable” on everything.

Re: Video games you love? Video games you hate?
The games I’ve been loving recently are Forza Horizon and Spongebob Cosmic Shake As what OldCrapEnthusiast said about Forza Horizon as there’s so many cars you have so much to do and the game never gets boring as a result. In fact after playing so much Horizon 4 I went back and played the older game...

I bought an Apple pro keyboard (from the year 2000) for 20p at a car boot sale 3 years ago and its in really good condition and works perfectly. Last I checked they go for around £30 or so on eBay so super happy with this find.

Re: Does Nintendo have any weird obscure software for PC?
It seems a lot of 2000s games were built for PC too, even if they ended up being console exclusives. There are behind the scenes photos of Sonic Unleashed running on Windows XP despite only seeing a PS3/360 release, and Amy Hennig has mentioned that much of the development for the first Uncharted g...

Re: Does Nintendo have any weird obscure software for PC?
That's actually brilliant - I'll do some digging when I have time. I'd be curious as to why they went through the effort of developing it in the first place - maybe the GC hardware wasn't finalised when this game was in development? Probably. Sounds about right that the GameCube wasn’t finalised yet.
